Navigating the now: Building resilience in a world of complex challenges
SSE Executive Education is proud to host the EFMD Executive Development Conference 2025
From 30 September to 2 October, we are proud to welcome learning professionals from across the globe to the Stockholm School of Economics for the EFMD Executive Development Conference 2025.
As the host of the conference, I’m truly looking forward to the conversations we’ll have about leadership, resilience, and how we can navigate uncertainty together. With the SSE educational philosophy FREE as our starting point – Facts- & Science-based, Reflective, Empathetic, and Entrepreneurial – we will explore how learning can empower leaders to act with clarity, courage, and care.
The days will be filled with inspiring sessions and excursions, from thought-provoking keynotes to cultural experiences that reflect the richness of our surroundings. We want to show you the very best of our school, and what Stockholm and Sweden have to offer.
One highlight will be our visit to historic Sigtuna, one of Sweden’s first towns, founded in the 10th century and located just a short walk from our countryside campus Kämpasten. This unique setting will offer a moment of reflection on how history, place, and culture shape leadership and decision-making. By immersing ourselves in Sigtuna’s heritage, we hope to spark new perspectives on how anchoring leadership in a deeper understanding of time and place can foster resilience and adaptability. We will also of course involve our unique art environment as part of the experience. During a special Arts Immersion at the SSE city campus, participants will explore leadership and complexity through creative perspectives, guided by faculty and students from the SSE Art Initiative.
It will be a privilege to meet and connect with so many passionate and thoughtful colleagues in executive development. On behalf of all of us at SSE Executive Education – let the countdown begin and a warm welcome to Stockholm!
