”SSE Executive Education’s mission is to reinforce the competitiveness of Swedish enterprise through business and leadership development,” says Ingrid Engström, CEO of SSE Executive Education. ”Our position in the Financial Times ranking asserts that the SSE Executive Education methodology, based on an academic approach combined with an operational perspective and real world cases, creates the desired effect for our clients.”

The Financial Times (FT) conducts an annual ranking of the world’s premier business schools that offer management and leadership development programs. It is the largest recurring ranking of the executive education field. For 15 consecutive years, SSE Executive Education has held the top ranked position in the Nordic region. The FT ranking is based on interviews with program participants in various management disciplines, including leadership, strategy, innovation, business control and finance.

The FT ranking covers both open programs, where SSE Executive Education is ranked 37 in the world, and customized programs, where SSE Executive Education is ranked 31. This puts SSE Executive Education at 31 in the combined ranking, an upward climb from last year’s 33 rank. SSE Executive Education thus maintains a positive trend, amidst steadily increasing competition. This year’s FT survey covers a record number of schools, and several major institutions have made significant leaps in both directions in the ranking.

”That a Sweden-based institution reaches a high position in an international ranking indicates that our offering for developing businesses, organizations and individuals is well tuned to the global market,” says Ingrid Engström. “The innovation projects we organize are key to making SSE Executive Education, as well as our clients, prepared to address future competitive challenges.”

A part of the Stockholm School of Economics, SSE Executive Education offers executive education programs to executives and key management, based on realistically modeled research.

“The FT ranking validates what we have learned from our client surveys; that the effects created by our programs are so positive that 9 out of 10 participants recommend us to colleagues and new clients,” says Ingrid Engström.
