New program: Risk Management for Business Leaders
How do you build and lead a robust, highly competitive organization in uncertain times? What you need, when the outside world is changing from one day to another and complexity levels are increasing, is new ways of looking at risk.
SSE Education is launching a new program – Risk Management for Business Leaders – in response to this need. It is designed for managers and leaders who want to develop an understanding of risk and resilience as a strategic management issue and key success factor.
The Risk Management for Business Leaders program provides an holistic perspective on the effects of different risks on business models, corporate governance, and long-term sustainability.
Course participants will develop the tools they need to analyze an increasingly complex risk landscape and learn how to integrate resilience into their own organization’s strategic and corporate governance work. Real life case studies from the participants’ own organizations are used in discussions, both within the group and with experts.
“The focus is on identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing risks in a way that directly supports the organization’s goals. And by the end of the course, you will have translated your insights into a concrete action plan for your organization,” says Marcus Feldt, Specialized Client Director at SSE Executive Education, who was involved in drawing up the program.
The program also includes scenario- and simulation-based training exercises designed to help participants develop their ability to evaluate risks, take decisions, and be proactive – all things that are, in the opinion of Marcus Löwgren, Account Manager at SSE Executive Education – absolutely essential.
“I’ve had numerous discussions with managers and leaders from a wide variety of sectors over the past year and virtually all of them say the same thing: the rate of change is increasing and making decisions is becoming increasingly difficult when external conditions are changing so rapidly,” says Marcus Löwgren.
