New program: AI for Business Leaders
How can AI be used to increase efficiency, drive innovation, and solve practical challenges within an organization? SSE Executive Education is launching a new program, AI for Business Leaders, aimed at managers and leaders interested in using artificial intelligence (AI) to create tangible and sustained value in their organization.
The 3-day program is led by Assistant Professor Sebastian Krakowski, from the Stockholm School of Economics, who holds a Ph.D. in AI and strategy.
Why should managers and leaders join the AI for Business Leaders program?
“AI is clearly revolutionizing the way which companies and organizations function and operate, and this is creating both opportunities and challenges as the competitive landscape is being transformed in real time. Tools such as ChatGPT and the rapid development of generative AI, in particular, have put AI at the top of the agenda for many companies.
It’s a trend that implies a need for companies to adapt and transform, as many managers and leaders ask themselves how they can use AI to enhance operational efficiency and create competitive advantages, how they can develop a sustainable AI strategy, and what major risks and ethical aspects they should be considering.
As such, this program aims not only to provide participants with inspiration, but also to equip them with the knowledge and the tools needed to successfully initiate and lead digital transformation and an AI-driven transformation.”
What are the key focus areas of the program?
“What makes this program unique is its focus on how AI can create concrete and sustained value by linking the technology to the organization’s goals, preconditions, and needs,” explains Sebastian. “In the program, we will develop a shared understanding of how AI can be used within the organization in everything from enhancing operational workflow efficiency to transforming business models and boosting long-term competitiveness.
The program places particular emphasis on leadership and change management – i.e., how managers can lead their organizations in the digital transformation process by building an innovative culture while ensuring that the AI transformation is conducted safely and sustainably.”
What tangible benefits will participants gain from the program?
“The participants will gain a toolbox of actionable frameworks for practical integration and implementation of AI within the context of their organization as a whole, as well as in their own workflow. They will develop their ability to assess AI solutions critically and to make sound decisions regarding the technology, focusing on converting insights into action.
More concretely, each participant will receive guidance and support to develop a plan for integrating AI into their organization, ensuring that the plan is relevant by using their specific context and goals as the starting point. The action plan acts as a vision and roadmap, beyond the formal program completion.
The program will also enable participants to grow a valuable network by connecting and collaborating with other managers and leaders with an interest in AI transformation, as participants will be given opportunities to exchange experiences and learnings during the program.
In summary, AI for Business Leaders offers a research-based, yet applied and practically oriented approach to AI strategy both at the organizational and the individual level. The participants will develop a sound understanding of the technology, along with tools and learnings, as well the confidence needed to lead their organizations in an increasingly AI-driven world,” concludes Sebastian.
